So it will all get better by itself and all I need to do is block the pain. Anyone else think that is missing some of the point here? I actually want to prevent it coming back again, so some advice on that would have been helpful. I'll actually follow the advice of various web sites I and various other people found and keep off coffee and alcohol for a while, have lots of veg and fruit, avoid pastry, drink more water. Oh and have cherries and strawberies cos they actually reduce the level of the chemical (pralene? or something like that) that triggers the production of uric acid.
I'll give you a progress report later to let you know if the pain drops to a manageable level on Wednesday.
