Quotes [Jan. 20th, 2007|01:33 pm]
Peter Sheil
Here are a few quotes for you whilst I wait for someone to get back to me about a priority one support call I'm dealing with ... yep it is Saturday! [And now I'm waiting for them to re-boot a couple of Oracle servers before I can "play" with the application servers again.]

The road to truth is long, and lined the entire way with annoying bastards.
Alexander Jablokov, The Place of No Shadows

The human brain is like a railroad freight car -- guaranteed to have a certain capacity but often running empty.

Still round the corner there may wait,
A new road or a secret gate.
J. R. R. Tolkien (1892 - 1973)

An ambassador is an honest man sent abroad to lie for his country.
Sir Henry Wotton

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields and, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Irish Blessing

The road to a friend's house is never long.
Danish proverb

People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost.
H. Jackson Browne, P. S. I Love You

Never look down to test the ground before taking your next step; only he who keeps his eye fixed on the far horizon will find the right road.
Dag Hammarskjold (1905 - 1961)
