Quotes of the Day [Aug. 22nd, 2005|01:30 pm]
Peter Sheil
Happy Monday :) Have a quote (or 4) to brighten up a dull, grey day.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

Too many of us look upon Americans as dollar chasers. This is a cruel libel, even if it is reiterated thoughtlessly by the Americans themselves.
Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)

Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, every day, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to be always part of unanimity.
Christopher Morley (1890 - 1957)

Whenever you hear the consensus of scientists agrees on something or other, reach for your wallet, because you're being had.
Michael Crichton (1942 - ), Caltech Michelin Lecture, January 17, 2003

Lovely quotes! I definitely approve of #3 - and I have to admit I've known a few managers who did more than abuse their priveleges!
