Five new pics from my trip to Zermatt are now up on my web site.|
You are up far too late.
Come to think of it, so am I.
... and now I'm up far too early :) (8.45 at work)
FROM YOUR WEBSITE: "...Me travelling at twice the
speed of sound ... 22 miles per minute ... a mile
in 2.7 seconds.
And just think Peter, had you been walking from one
end of the plane to the other (at say, 5MPH) you'd be
going at a TOTAL SPEED of 29 miles per minute-or have
I misunderstood this game I'm playing? ;)))
Thanks for taking my Poll in my LJ Peter. Take Care.

Re: 22 miles per minute on CONCORD
If I understand what you are saying then I'd have to walk forwards in the plane at 7 miles a minute (relative to the plane), that's 420 mph. As the gangways were quite full with people going up to the fromt to have their pictre taken and then coming back, and the walkway is only just wide enough to pass people, I think it would be difficult to get up to 5 mph even :)
OK, but it was fun to think of you increasing your speed
though ;) Although, you'd also be limited by how far FORWARD
you could walk before you reached the front of Concord ;)
