For those interested Snowball (the cat in the pic with this message) has been put to sleep. He was suffering and had lost use of his back legs. Farewell old friend - may we meet again in a future life.|
*hugs* and best wishes...
At least his pain is gone now..
thanks, but see the following comment for more info. Hope you're not getting blown away there.
Oh so sorry...I am a pet love and I think they will be with us in the next life.
love hugs and prayers
Thanks Deb, but see the following comment. I like pets but we don't have any as we are away too often and it wouldn't be fair on them. Maybe one day when I have a less unsettled job :)
Yes they are good company..I am home all the time...so mine give me a lot of company especially since Buzz crossed over.
*hugz* Like I've said..it is always tough losing a pet..as they can be so much the part of your family =o(
However, atleast no more suffering!
Thanks, see following comment.
Are you going to reply to the last e-mail I sent you?
Just so people are not confused Snowball was not our cat, but Hazel's (my mother-in-law). He had a good life with her and was not in any pain particularly. He had been going down hill for a while and it was expected. The vet had been giving him injections to stimulate his appetite for several months, but they were getting less effective. He had also had a couple of strokes and in cats that generally affects the back and motor functions.
Snowball was a real cat, not one of those fancy house cats. In one house he used to bring back empty cigarette packets 2 or 3 times a week. We reckoned he had parties down the garden with the other cats and lead them astray :)
I am just cutting a CD with all the pics I've taken of him 'cos Hazel didn't have any recent ones. At least she will have a load of pictures to remember him by.
Oh and by the way, for those that knew that Hazel had some serious medical problems, she is well on the way to mending, is out of hospital, is off the itravenous antibiotics and is almost back to her old self. Very good news.
