I would recommend davebarrycolumn but I think the feed is broken at the minute. I have the Miami Herald email me every week to remind me to visit Dave's column to read it.

Yeah 'cos metric is so difficult having to remember to only use powers of 10 for every thing rather than the obvious 12 inches in a foot, 3 feet in a yard, 22 yards in a chain, 10 chains one furlong and 8 furlongs one mile ... giving nice memorable numbers like 63360 inches in a mile :P
