Peter Sheil
Yesterday my personal laptop started making a loud clicky noise and said it couldn't find a hard disk!

I tried a few times but no joy :( So I left it alone for a half hour or so then tried again, This time it did start so I booted into safe mode and copied all of the "My Documents" folder to a removable drive.

It has started OK today, but I'm expecting problems. I wonder if it's getting too hot? Ah well, I'll get off now and get something to eat. I'll be on-line again later, so maybe catch later.

Peace
peter

Peter, just dropping by but there are 2 threads on communities you may want to be aware of in order to avoid the same "issues":

Noises from your PC are sort of like that "Replace Engine" "Check Engine" light in your car: they tell you nothing useful, except that it's too late to avoid spending a lot of money on repairs.
