Peter Sheil
Tomatoes are God's gift to dry cleaners.

Let me explain, and reassure you all that it hasn't been a problem for me today but only because I've had previous experience.

For lunch I walked to the local petrol station which I discovered has a mini Tesco store in it. I got a couple of bottles of drink, a pack of sandwiches (deep(1) bacon, lettuce and tomato) and a "snack pack" of cherry tomatoes (clear plastic three-sided pyramid about 3 inches on each edge filled with the fruits(2) ). As I was eating the tomatoes I made sure that they were completely contained in my mouth before biting them; this means that the explosive gush of tomatoe seeds and juice does not do a graceful arc out of my mouth onto surrounding desk, papers and clothes. Can you tell from the description that I wasn't always so knowledgeable? Yes, some things just have to be learnt the hard way. And tomatoe juice seems to make an almost indelible stain requiring the services of professional cleaners to remove it.

The guy I should be meeting here has still not arrived ... or if he has then he's managed to hide from me :) I think there are a few of us with door pass problems 'cos it was balanced open when I came back from my walk. In fact I reckon that with enough force and a credit card I didn't want to use again I could probably get in anyway but I'm not sure if here are any sensors or a camera set up to catch stuff like that so I'll be a good boy ... for now at least :)

Right, time to slurp my drink and get energetic for a while :) Enjoy your day.

(1)Why "deep"? I guess it is because there is a thicker layer of fillng than in some other sandwiches. Indeed the pack I had contaied only two sandwiches whilst some packs that appeared to be the same size contained three different ones. Surely that should make the sandwiches "thick"? Or perhaps I should contemplate the Zen nature of the bread, how it relates to the tomatoe and where my place is in the grand scheme of things.

(2)Tomatoes are fruit rather than veg. aren't they? My brain spat out that random fact as I was thinking about them but then refused to confirm the truth, just left me dangling here with almost enough certainty, but not quite enough, to be definite about this :) Someone confirm it please before I go mad I get madder than I was before I started working here. ;)

Re: You cracked me up -

Sorry I didn't answer that - didn't wanna reveal my secret to everyone! *smiles*

I went to a referral I had scheduled on the 20th! I was approved for a Tummy Tuck - just had to quick smoking and not have smoked for 6 mths, then they'll put me on the schedule to DO IT!

I lost 63 lbs on my own - gained 10 back since hubby came home in October but am still in my weight range and they say perfect candidate for the adomnioplasty (sp?) I wanted to lose the weight on my own and I did! My reward after 3 kids and the weight loss - a TUMMY TUCK - so now you know my secret ( shshshshshshsh ) *smiles* Can't tell I'm a wee bit excited can ya? Is it NOVEMBER YET?

Oh and quitting smoking was a bonus in the surgery - I feel SO MUCH BETTER physically!

Have a great day Peter!

P.S. I liked your chatty post - ya should do it more often! *smiles*

Re: You cracked me up -

Oh, I was on completely the wrong track there then :) Hmm almost the exact opposite of what I thought was going on :) Good luck with it - not something I'd fancy but each to their own.

I only do "chatty" when I have time and am not stressed ... so some days you are lucky to get the "Quotes of the Day" :) Today I'm sort of in limbo ... waiting for something to do. Mind you I am making the most of it 'cos when the work does come along it will get frantic!
