It's tough, but someone's got to do it [Sep. 9th, 2003|01:25 pm]

I'm beavering away in London today in a building with glass lifts on the outside
of the building. I'll leave the able reader the task of working out where that
actually is.

Now for lunch ...

Today's Menu

Soup of the day
Grilled bacon steak with pineapple glaze
Grilled swordfish with oriental salad & sweet sesame dressing
Char grilled chicken with white wine & mushroom cream
Roast leg of lamb with rosemary jus
Cumberland sausage
Ratatouille on grilled polenta with red pesto dressing

Plus the daily menu

Sandwiches, paninis & pastries
sausages, jacket potatoes & chips
selection of salads, taramasalata, houmus, sun blush tomatoes,
feta cheese, vine leaves, cheese portions, pork pies, prawns, tuna,
cottage cheese, ham, turkey, beef, sushi, drinks & desserts

All available on a daily basis

I had the lamb with mint sauce, brocoli and gratin potatoes - v yummy.

It is all quite formal here. If you are not wearing a suit jacket they may well
refuse you entry to the restaurant! And as for the main working area ... well
it is spectacular with ranks of escalators going up in a large open-plan area.

I could tell you what I'd been doing today ... but then I'd have to shoot you :(
