Some good ones today to make up for their lack over the past few weeks.

Today is a good morning. Not because of the weather, although it is mild but the day is dull and drizzly. Maybe it is only having a 5 minute journey from the hotel to work. Maybe it is having the breakfast buffet before I came in to work (and two cups of cappuccino). Maybe it is driving along past the lines of stationary cars on the opposite side of the road. Maybe it was listening to the travel reports of all the delays in places I wasn't going to. Maybe because, after a break of over 20 years, I am giving blood this afternoon. Whatever it is I definitely feeling positive about life.

I'll just go and bounce round the office annoying people 'till whatever it is wears off and I'm back to my normal grumpy state.

*smiles at everyone*
[and they look suspiciously back at me]
La la la, la la la, laaaaa.

... and did you know that the average pyromaniac has a burning ambition?

They don't want my blood :(

Apparently it is because I was in the USA during the last 28 days - there is some mosquito borne virus that can cause problems.
I had to sit around for 15 minutes before they told me that. Frustrating *grrrrrr*

The last time I gave blood was 1982! I had to stop after that 'cos I had glandular fever then after two years, when I was just able to give blood again, I caught a sexually transmitted disease and was told I should never give blood again. The rules about this particular disease have changed now and if it hadn't been for all the darned American mossies they'd have taken it this time.

I'll head off to the hotel soon and drown my disappointment in ... drinking chocolate? ... ahh well, could be worse.
