"Good afternoon, Landlord, a pint of Less if you please,"
said the old man.

"Less? Never heard of it," replied the barman.

"Oh, come now surely you have," he persisted.

"No sorry, we certainly don't stock it. What is it anyway?
Some foreign beer?"

"Well I'm not sure," admitted the man. "It was the doctor
who mentioned it. He said I should drink less."

I got the following links e-mailed to me from a friend in Austria. I'd guess that a number of you on my friends list will be interested in them.

The following two sites are American online journals containing political comment that you won't have seen in the corporate press:

http://www.tompaine.com/feature.cfm/ID/7476 (A compendium of recent articles)
http://www.counterpunch.org/ (See "Recent Stories" and "Hot Stories")

And the Saudi Arabian "Arab News" site provides an extremely interesting and often sobering perspective on the war:

Finally, also sobering is the "Iraq Body Count" site that documents civilian deaths:

This last one is the only one I have looked at personally - it allows you to put a civilain body count icon up on your own web site ... I'll be putting one up on my site later this week.
