Good weekend

My friend Max came over this weekend. Saturday I got sent out to buy some cable clips and surface mounting boxes 'cos he couldn't get them. When he got here we had soup and salad and other stuff and little triffles (low fat and tasty!) Then we went cabling! We put phone extension sockets in two other rooms and put in cat 5 network cabling linking the small bedroom (to be study) to the large bedroom and to the lounge. Tested the phone connections - 100% worked. Tested the network links - the long one (lounge to small bedroom) worked perfectly first time. The other link, much shorter - basically just through a wall - didn't, but after a bit of fiddling we found which socket needed one connection remade.

Went out for a meal at Rani's in Long Lane, Finchley - vegitarian indian and very yummy. We actually finished the network testing after the meal.

Today (Sunday) we had cooked breakfast then went for a walk at Trent Park. The dafodils are out and the lawn in front of the "Mansion House" is a carpet of different shades of yellow. Then, after a short walk around the park, we had to get Max back so he could drive home. A restful and productive weekend :)

Peace and success to you all

And more good news ...

Got five numbers in last night's UK lottery ...
shame they were on three different lines :)
It would have saved me worrying about what job
I'll have next month.
