Monday morning ... [Jul. 29th, 2002|08:10 am]
Peter Sheil
Woke up at 3 AM this morning ... my internal clock is still screwed up from the week in Canada :) My foot is still painful - not sure of the cause, it started while I was away. I went to casualty yesterday and after a relatively short wait (1 hr 45 minutes) the doctor said it is either:-
a. strained tendon
b. arthrites (sp?)
c. gout
I have to keep it raised and take ibuprofen as a pain killer and anti-inflamatory. Erm ... well I'll try with the "keep it raised" but it is a bit hard at work. I'd half hoped he'd say to stay at home for a few days, but no such luck :(

Anyway, today is Monday, and it actually doesn't feel too bad to be back working, apart from my foot. Hope all of you have a good Monday as well.

May your deity bless you today.

George W. Bush, Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso have all
died. Due to a glitch in the mundane/celestial time-space
continuum, all three arrive at the Pearly Gates more or less
simultaneously, even though their deaths have taken place
decades apart.

Ouch [Jul. 29th, 2002|10:34 pm]
Peter Sheil
Well my left heel and ankle are now in agony as well as my right big toe :(( I think this could be gout (don't laugh). It is the most pain I have experienced for a while, if not ever. I've had 10 ibuprofen tablets so far and it still hurts.

Anyone got a good cure foe it? Roxanne looked up on the internet and told me I should eat strawberries and cherries, NO Alcohol *shrugs shoulders* No COFFEE *gasp shock horror*, no red meat, shellfish, offal, pastry or cakes. Milk, rice and starchy veg are alright as are fresh fruit and green veg.

I'm seeing my doctor Tuesday Afternoon, so I'll let you know what he says.
