* What your computer says about you * [Jun. 18th, 2002|11:56 am]

Psychologists say that a computer's desktop can tell you as much about a
person's personality as their real desk.

My work PC has a plain blue background 16 icons, Office short-cut bar and 6 faststart icons next to the start button. It runs Windows 2000 ... slowly.

My home PC has a picture of stone henge as a background and a minimum assortment of icons for things I use scattered randomly over the desk top. It runs Windows XP (it was pre-installed is my only excuse).

I scatter temporary icons on the desktop - it is a convenient temp folder you can always find:) I also run diferent screen savers depending on my mood and what I'm doing. If I'm cutting CDs then everything not required is shut down and the screen saver is off. I think I have a weather screen saver from bbc.co.uk at the moment - but it rarely starts as the PCs are either being typed on rapidly or are locked.

What does your desktop say about you? Go on admit it - tell us all your darkest secrets :)))

Re:

Hmm

looks clean and functional to me.
a hard working technically savvy person
although that green "snake skin" look on the second one hints at hidden depths and deviousness.

Does that sound like "you" to you?

Hmmmmmm, blue sky and shifting clouds is my background. Catapillars crawling across leaves is my screensaver. All my personal stuff is tucked away in a personal folder I created. My desktop is mostly functional and I'm constantly organizing everyone else's folders for them because they're too dim to do it themselves. My mousepad is a feminist statement on having a voice (big surprise there). And the signs on the computer and on the message board behind & above the computer mostly are for me or come from me. Wonder what that means? LOL

Re:

You will travel far (blue sky and clouds).

You are green / pro nature / vegitarian / always busy (catapillars).

You try to be organized and to organize others but you are aware of their concerns and don't push them too hard.

hmmm ... uncanily accurate isn't it :)

Impressive

Yes, very accurate. It's almost as if you knew me! LMAO

But you forgot to analyze my mousepad and my message board.

Re: Impressive

OH Peter! That's awful! Although I am a "bad-assed feminist", I never, never break balls. That's just mean. Besides, when we were together I didn't hear you complaining about what I was doing to your....

;)

Yeah well I'll just leave it there!
