Peter Sheil
A good set today - enjoy!

Peace

All the world's a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.
Sean O'Casey (1880 - 1964)

You don't stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing.
Michael Pritchard

The truth is always a compound of two half- truths, and you never reach it, because there is always something more to say.
Tom Stoppard (1937 - )

Few things are more satisfying than seeing your own children have teenagers of their own.
Doug Larson

And a bonus extra ... just 'cos I can :)

I am an old man, but in many senses a very young man. And this is what I want you to be, young, young all your life.
Pable Casals, O Magazine, October 2003

I really enjoy your thought provoking quotes, thank you.

Was it rude of me to put you on my friends list so I wouldn't miss them? Some people don't appreciate others doing that without asking first, so if it disturbs you, please let me know.

Not at all - I've added you back.

I may not reply that much to your posts, but I'll try and leave you on my "read once a day" list :)

Peace
peter

Gosh- sorry I can't return the favor- my public or friends posts tend to be silly and shallow for the most part. Anything of substance is private, as I hate inflicting my personal philosophies on others.

That's fine, your LJ, your choice of what you post and who you let read it.

My petersheil journal is almost all public and I put my more personal stuff in 9eter5heil which is friends only and has a smaller set of friends on it.

Sorry - it's all this modern automation - I manage 4 quotes a day!

Having reread #5, I like it, but it's so true that it doesn't really need to be commented on - forever young is the way life should always be!

You should always expect the unexpected!
[Although, of course, then it strictly isn't unexpected so you will be surprised by not having anything unexpected happen. Now if you could expect that ... ]

I love a recursive arguement! It takes me back to the lovely days of learning C and C++.

Discussions like this usualy sound better over a curry and a drink! Or just the drink... or both... or either... my heads spinning! I'm going to play with some paperwork! See you tomorrow... and which venue is it?
