MICROSOFT PATCHES VPN FLAW IN WINDOWS XP SP2

For some VPN clients, the deployment of Windows XP Service Pack 2
brought their remote connections to a jarring halt because of an error
in the way loopback addresses are handled. Microsoft has issued a patch
to fix this problem , as reported by eWEEK, and the software giant has
also published a Knowledge Base Article (884020).

I'm staying away from SP2 as long as I possibly can. In fact, that's always my policy with Microsoft products. Let others find the bugs first!

At least magazines are including it in cover CDs now so you don't need to download it.

Interesting that Microsoft firewall the loopback adaptor - you never know where the wasclally wabbits are going to burrow into your system!

Since I have ADSL at home downloading isn't usually a problem. Like Kevin I just want everyone else to find the bugs before I instal it :)
