Peter Sheil
runningdiary updated after half marathon race.
One blood blister and one knocked shin are the only visible signs of damage although I did twist my left ankle half a mile into the race :( A reasonable time, I had hoped for better but I think it is a personal best for me (even if only just so).

Done my washing and got it dried.

Skim-read friends journals - if there's something you think I ought to definitely read then post a link in a comment to this post.

Off to bed now - swwet dreams. I'm in London on Monday (day off to recover from the race) and will be going back to Cardiff in the evening.

Peace
peter

TCR? No thanks.

Nah, I'm staying in my flat, resting, eating a bit and taking anti-inflammatory tablets for my left ankle (which resents it when my left foot is taking my weight right now)

Ice that ankle! Remember, for a sprain: R.I.C.E. - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. The anti-inflammatories are good, too.

Hope you have a restful day off. :-)

Re: TCR? No thanks.

Actually warm feels better on it. I guess I shouldn't have carried on with the race but well *shrug* seemed a bit wimpy to stop :)

My time was actually 2:35:18 which is half a minute better than my previous best and about 5 minutes better than last year on the same course.

Peace
peter
