Where's my e-mail?
The character Shift and PageDown is not a good thing to accidentally type into Outlook, especially if the next two characters (typed at high speed) are Shift Delete and Enter. Instead of deleting the one mail message I expected I emptied my entire in-box. And that is delete for real not copy to a deleted messages foilder. The only good news was that as it was my work account nothing important was lost :) And it did save me the time I'd have spent deciding if I should delete them or do something about them - so a win-win situation :)

Give me a squeeze
Why does fruit not have a "ripe" period? I've just had some plumbs go from rock hard bullets to squishy with mould growing on them with no intervenening edible stage :( It's a shame to chuck them but I just couldn't do anything else with them this morning. And I didn't even get a chance to do a bad joke about them ...

"Is it good etiquette to wash your plumbs in the shower before you offer them to someone else?"

I know, it wasn't worth it :) Maybe that is why they went off - trying to save me from the bad joke.

Army on the move
Yesterday I had an afternoon meeting at Newbury and whilst on the way along the M4 (and in Membury services) I saw a convoy of I think 6 Army tanks on transporters. The tanks were painted in desert camouflage colours. I wonder where they were heading? Well since I don't have any knowledge other than is in the public domain I can actually tell you. My guess is Marchwood, just across the water from Southampton. That's where the Army ships stuff out. And the final destination? I'm sure you can tell me without a second thought ... I wouldn't have to put you on a rack to get you to tell me would I? :) Of course it could be a rotation of new troops going out to relieve existing ones ... do you think? I wonder when the new deployment will be officially announced. *cynical me*

... and finally
I need to get back to work - to delete some more unnecessary e-mails and actually use the Internet to research a client problem. Nice to have an excuse to be surfing during the day :) Hope all your days are better than you deserve :)

Peace
peter
