Some of this is fairly simple, some of it doesn't make much sense to my american phrasology.

Ffon 01234 567890 i gwneud apwyntiad neu ddod ar y diwrnod
Phone 01234 567890 to make an appointment or come on the day

Rhowch waed os gwelwch yn dda
(This is the one where I can find definitions of the words, but the sentence doesn't make sense.) Give blood if/provided that sight/view at/in/to good/well/rich
I know they want you to give blood, but the rest of it I don't understand. Give blood if it looks good? Give blood provided that it's good? You'll have to help me with this one.

clinig symudol
mobile clinic (or as we would call it here, a bloodmobile)

Re:

You are as close as you could be with 1 and 3

I thought we'd have trouble with number 2 though. The corresponding bit of the form in English just says "Please Give Blood" and the Welsh looked like it said more than just that ... but maybe there is a "wordy" version of please in Welsh??? Or maybe it is a catch phrase of the organisation? Their web address is www.welsh-blood.org.uk so you can hunt it down if it bothers you :)

As an aside the "o" of ffon has an upside-down v on top of it, but I didn't try sending that to you 'cos funny characters are sometimes displayed quite diferently on other browsers.

Peace
peter

Re:

The upside-down v (carat) on top of the "o" in ffon just indicates that the "o" is long. I knew what it was without the carat.

If it is a woman on the ffon should the "o" have a double carat to show the long call??

You haven't done the latest translation ... if you want to do it then don't read the comments as I've now given acoolsecretary a translation of (she was getting frustrated I think)

Re:

Haven't been to LJ since Thursday. Way too busy. Don't worry though, I'll give it a shot without cheating. If I can't get it, then I'll cheat ;-)
