Update on my Marathon time|
The London Marathon website says it was 6 hours 36 minutes and 21 seconds
Either I misread the time at the finish, or they deducted the 10 minutes it took to reach the start line. Whichever it is it's still good - I'm faster than I thought I was :)
jeez...I can't imagine running six miles and change, I'm lucky to run six feet! (I'm very clumsy)Men are lucky there, you don't have the problem of a busty chest bouncing up and down when you run. It hurts! I tore some tissue in one one time....OOOOOwwwwwww
I'm impressed, that's way more than I could have done! (now get me on a bicycle however)
I can't imagine running six miles and change
It was 26 miles (and 0.2)
That was 6 and a half hours of running ... well OK there was a lot of walking in there :)
And as to the busty chest, no we don't have that but we still do have to put peroleum jelly on the nipples or they can end up bleeding, and then we have other bits that can rub :) - actually I didn't put quite enough petroleum jelly on my ... erm ... bottom ... so that was a little sore, but it is fine now :)
The legs are still aching a bit - walking down stairs is bad, up is far easier, I'll have to practice sliding down on the banister :)
And the feet are doing OK relatively, still sore and I think the arch of my right foot is dropped for ever :)
Right, beter get back to work before they change my priorities again :)
26 miles??? dear god..okay, I read it wrong, was about half asleep...I am REALLY IMPRESSED!
You just made me laugh out loud with that comment :) thanks
Well done Peter on completing the Marathon. ;-) Maybe see you at the next livejournal meetup. Looks like the venue has changed to Forbidden Planet.
