Just listening to President Bush's speach.
*shivers*
48 hours, then what?

I am not anti American.
I am not against those who have gone to the war.
And I am not in favour of Sadam.

But I do worry about the forthcoming war.

I do not think that there is a valid mandate from the UN to start this war ...
that makes any fighting a war crime.

There will be body bags coming home soon - this makes me so sad. The waste of
life is not something we should contemplate without international support.

And will the war be over quickly? OK, so "we" can use precision bombing and
all the clever technology ... but does that help in hand to hand fighting
in an urban environment. Has America not learnt anything since Vietnam?

I do not have words to express my feelings ...
see here for some words that express some
of my feelings far better than I can.

To those of you with friends or family over there I send you positive thoughts and
protection for you loved ones - little enough I know, but all I can do.

May our Gods / Godesses protect us all

=o(

This didn't come to a surprise to me at all!

I told my friend earlier today that I suspect we'll be at war 3 days from now! *sigh*

I have mixed emotions...I DO think Sadem needs to GO!!! I think he should have been taken care of 12 yrs ago...I could go on and on.

Ofcourse I don't want to go to war again...I have more than one family member over there....one of them being my soulmate! My partner in life =o(

Before he was deployed he saw something on TV that announced how many body bags were being ordered for us! I can't remember the #...but it was wayyyyyyyyy up there =o(

The part that got to me the most tonight....was when he said WAR didn't come without sacrifice! Easy to say coming from someone who'll not lose a FATHER/MOTHER/ HUSBAND/WIFE SON/DAUGHTER in this!

So this probably doesn't make sense to ANYONE....only I know what I feel I guess...and I'm not good at writing it. I just want this to be overwith and all of our men and women home with their families!

I COULD JUST SSCCCCRRRRRRREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAMMMMM right now!

Re: =o(

What can I say? I guess (hugs) is about it.
My thoughts are with you.

Let me know if there is anything I can do -
I'm good at listening and have a cheap international phone deal
(more hugs)

It makes perfect sense.
It is a hard situation and there are so many issues and feeling involved.

I really hope your loved ones over there will be alright. And so will as many people as possible.

*hug from a stranger who cares*

The whole things makes me very very sad.

This war will not be fought here and therefore none of us will have to die. But we have friends and relatives, loved ones. They should not have to fear either.
Nobody should.

On a war most of the people don't want...

"48 hours, then what?"

Well, to be overly cynical and callous, We drop a load of bombs, kill lots of "baddies" and innocents, probably a few of our own too. Then we declare ourselves the winners and are all home in time for tea and Killroy.
