Sunday's Entry [Jan. 7th, 2002|01:16 pm]
Peter Sheil
Sunday was our 6th wedding anniversary.

We eventually shared a half bottle of champaigne when we got back to Southampton. Kim gave me a stone egg on a stand. I gave her various candles and a glass paperweight.

We were busy planning a trip for later in the year - a week on a canal boat doing "The Four Counties Ring". We checked up which pubs were happy with a Morris side dancing / singing / drinking there and looked for places to water the boats. One village we checked out was called Wheelock. My first responce was that it should be near the village of Skidding ;) Actually the name comes from the Welsh for benddy river! There are three pubs close to the canal, all three were friendly and all three were happy to have a morris side. I guess we'll just have to sample the beer at all three and pick the one with the tastiest beer :)

Blessed Be
peter

mixed ... being married to a younger woman [21 years age difference] has both plus and minus features.

we still have some places left on this year's trip if you want to come, more details on request.

Re:

Yes, I've always set my limit at ten years age difference. Any more than that and there will be communication problems. Not to mention that a lot of people (myself of course included) don't settle into their real personality until they're 30, so the person you meet is not the same person a few years later. I've never had much luck dating younger men, I don't have the patience :-)

Can't afford the trip this year, unfortunately :-( I should fly out some day and see if I can fake the annoying tourist from across the pond...I just need bermuda shorts and a camera. ;-)
