Groan [Aug. 28th, 2002|08:37 am]
Peter Sheil
A tour bus load full of noisy American tourists arrives at Runnymede, England.

They gather around the guide who says, "This is the spot where the barons forced King John to sign the Magna Carta."

A man pushing his way to the front of the crowd asks, "When did that happen?"

"1215," answers the guide.

The man looks at his watch and says, "Shoot! Just missed it by a half hour!"

Re:

I just knew you'd read that and comment. For me it's great 'cos I get a groan and make fun of Americans at the same time ...

(The management states that not all Americans are as depicted in the above "joke" and that any likeness with any American President living, dead on indeterinant is purely coincidental. Any legal action should be communicated to our corporate lawyers Konem, Sueham and Golightly.)

My lawyer is Hugh Lewis Dewey (AKA Huey Lewey Dewey) of Dewey Cheatham & Howe. He'll be in touch.
